Wembley Central is an iconic 13 storey Apartment tower with stunning views towards the new Wembley Stadium, Harrow on the Hill and central London, part of the latest Brownfield development by St Modwens.

With 117 contemporary 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments and duplexes requiring heating and hot water fed from a communal energy centre featuring Biomass boilers as the leading heat source, the Evinox ModuSat provided the perfect solution.

Unlike most other manufacturers communal Heat Interface Unit’s, the unique design of the ModuSat ensures energy is stored within each apartment in a buffer, the benefits of which are twofold.

Firstly with the diversities that can be applied, the size of the centralised plant can be reduced by up to 50% when compared to plate heat exchangers, which in turn can potentially reduce size of primary pipe work around the building.

Secondly any centralised thermal buffering required by the biomass can be reduced due to the storage available in the ModuSat’s around the building, reducing plant room space requirements.

The in-built energy meter in each ModuSat is being used for remote monitoring and billing using BUS communication to provide the end user with a fully itemised energy bill. Evinox will also provide on-going maintenance, removing any worry or burden from the building owner and operator.
