HIU Heating: Is It Low Maintenance?

HIU heating is a very popular option for property developers and managers who are running communal apartments such as residential homes and student accommodation, or building social housing across the UK.

A question that is often asked about this form of communal heating is whether or not it is low maintenance.

HIU and communal heat network systems do not require much maintenance – as long that they are maintained by a specialist. In fact, these units are much lauded for being extremely low maintenance.

When the maintenance check happens for either a communal heating or district heating system, this should obviously be done according to the manufacturer’s specifications. Such maintenance would include testing the valves, testing for leaks and ensuring that particular aspects of the unit are intact or without blockage.

As well as the low maintenance that these units and networks offer, they are also incredibly economical and environmentally sound in comparison to more traditional boiler based set-ups within social housing and communal living areas. However, all of aforementioned benefits of such a system are reliant on the proper design and installation of the heat interface unit.

Thankfully, Evinox Energy Ltd is here to offer that full package. We specialise in producing solutions for those in need of HIU heating.
